RITE tool helps case workers in NGOs dealing with Foreign Domestic Workers to identify potential victims of Human Trafficking, based on the operational indicators provided by a Delphi Survey of the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children . Co-designed with Equal Justice (NGO), RITE tool is equipped with series of yes/no questions to provide the suitability of 67 indicators, in order to assess the adequacy of the petitioner to be recognised as a victim of Human Trafficking. It takes into account the differences in terms of indicators for children/adults victims and for labor/sexual exploitation, as well as the different “degrees” (Strong/medium/weak indicator). It then provides a list of possible remedies for breaches by employers or recruitment agencies. It generates a screening form according to the answers (conditionality), facilitating caseworkers’ assessment and decisions for the next step.
